Explanation of Techniques

TFT

Thought Field Therapy. TFT involves lightly touching specific head and body points that are corresponding to when and where specific trauma markers are stored in the human body. TFT involves mindfulness as the client focuses on the emotion they felt in context to the experience they had. TFT is the precursor to EFT and is still widely used in conjunction with other somatic stress reduction techniques. The client mirrors the practitioner in application of TFT, there is no touching between persons.

EFT

Emotional Freedom Techniques. EFT is considered mind-body work that utilizes the primo vascular system in the body that acupuncture and chiropractic work also follow, to release distressing emotions that are stored in the body. These techniques includes following a pre-determined "Tapping" algorithm of gently tapping or pressing on acupressure points on the face and upper torso to relieve physical and mental tension resulting from emotional distress. EFT allows the release of both general anxieties as well as the release of specific emotions connected to a specific event. EFT has been clinically researched for over 20 years by doctors such as Peta Stapleton. In 2023 Clinical EFT was accepted as a form of energy psychology, aka somatic stress reduction technique, by the American Psychological Association.

Life Coaching

Life Coaching is an emerging field that incorporates coming alongside individuals, families, or groups to aide in making positive forward progress. Much like the tenants of social work, Life Coaching is based on a strength’s perspective, with the client as the expert in their own lives. Elements of counseling are also involved in Life Coaching as it pertains working towards bettering mental health. There is never a diagnosis of condition, nor a medical care component to Life Coaching. A Life Coach comes alongside as a trained listening guide who is able to assist the client in processing, decision making, and accessing resources to meet specific life goals. Lógos Soul Care incorporates a Biblically focused, Christ centered base into Life Coaching's general practice model.

Splankna Inner Healing Protocol

Splankna is a biblically based, Christian perspective, holistic protocol for trauma resolution. The prevailing premise of Splankna work is that the flow and balance of the body’s subtle, electromagnetic energies are important for optimal physical, spiritual, and emotional health and for fostering well-being.  Splankna is designed to help get to the origin of an emotional stressor with the goal of rapidly desensitizing the emotional stress connected to a past event. Splankna work is faith-based and centered on prayer and the lead of the Holy Spirit. Subsequently, it falls under the distinction of ministry. Traditional spiritual disciplines are also incorporated in Splankna such as confession, repentance, and forgiveness.

Somatic stress reduction techniques of TFT along with an EFT blend that includes the element of bi-lateral activation. [A core component of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy.] Bi-lateral activation is simply stimulating both hemispheres of the brain in alternating left-right body movements such as tapping the left, then the right foot. The client mirrors the practitioner in application of EFT, there is no touching between persons in the tapping nor with the bi-lateral activation movements.

“Before working through a season of stress reduction sessions I was living a life of being constantly triggered by all types of stressors, or perceived stressors. Now I am able to calmly assess and appropriately respond to situations without an imbalanced level of intensity.”
